Billboard Badger is operated by Dale Mooney, a sole trader based in the United Kingdom, who is the data controller for the personal data described here. Billboard Badger is built in phases, in the order on the roadmap. A clause about a part that is not live yet applies from the day that part goes live.

What is kept

• Your account: email address, name if you give one, a hashed password, your plan and whether it is paid.
• Product sites you add: the text of up to 30 pages of each site, the colours, type and logo found there, and what you approve from them.
• What is made for you: posts, artwork, style sheets and their versions, the schedule, and what you changed and approved.
• Connected accounts: each platform's account id, handle and display name, and the access tokens that let Billboard Badger post there, sealed with encryption before they are stored.
• Usage and cost records: how many pieces were made each month and what each model call cost.
• Payment status: from Stripe. Card details are held by Stripe and never seen by Billboard Badger.

Why, and on what basis

Running the service you signed up for is the lawful basis for all of the above: it is needed to perform the contract. Security logs and abuse prevention rest on legitimate interests. Nothing is used for advertising, profiling or selling, and none of it trains a model.

How long it is kept

• Page text read from a product's site: 30 days after the read.
• Access tokens: until the channel is disconnected, the platform revokes access, or the account is deleted.
• Posts, artwork and style sheets: until the product or the account is deleted.
• The account itself: until you delete it. Backups age out within 30 days after that.

Google and YouTube

Billboard Badger's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Uploading to YouTube uses YouTube API Services: by connecting YouTube you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google handles your data under the Google Privacy Policy. You can revoke Billboard Badger's access at any time at Google's security settings, or by disconnecting the channel.

Instagram and Facebook

From Instagram and Facebook Billboard Badger uses your account id, username, Page id and the results of what it published, and nothing else. That data is never sold or used for advertising. To have it deleted, disconnect the channel or follow the data deletion instructions.

TikTok and LinkedIn

From TikTok and LinkedIn Billboard Badger reads your basic profile to show which account is connected, and uses its access only to publish what you approved or booked.

Who else handles it

The providers that run parts of the service are listed on the sub-processors page. Each platform you connect receives the posts you send to it, as its own controller under its own terms. Some providers are in the United States; transfers rely on the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or an adequacy decision.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you may ask for a copy of your data, have it corrected or deleted, object to how it is used, or take it elsewhere. The account page downloads everything and deletes the account. Anything else goes to privacy@billboardbadger.com, answered within one month and at no charge. You may complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
