The short version
Billboard Badger is built to WCAG 2.2 AA and has not been independently audited. The parts a machine can decide are checked on every build, including 30 contrast pairings printed below.
Nothing here has been tested with a screen reader user. A barrier reported to hello@billboardbadger.com is read and acted on.
This summary is here to be read. The clauses below are what actually binds.This statement sets out the standard Billboard Badger is built to, what is in place, and what is not.
The standard
WCAG 2.2 at level AA. The service has not been independently audited, so this is the standard it is built to rather than a certified result.
Measures in place
- Every page works from the keyboard, with a visible focus ring.
- Headings, lists, tables and labels are real markup.
- Colour never carries meaning alone: every post's state is said in words as well as drawn.
- The sample schedule on the welcome page is described in words for a screen reader, and scrolls inside its own panel on a phone.
- No page moves by itself, and motion is switched off for anyone who asks their system to reduce it.
What is checked automatically

What the automated pass does not decide
- Contrast is computed from the colours the interface is built from, not from every rendered pixel. A screenshot could still hold a pairing nobody intended.
- Keyboard order is not simulated. That every control can be reached, and in a sensible order, has been checked by hand and is not asserted anywhere.
- Nothing here has been tested with a screen reader, or by anybody who uses one.
- Emails are not covered. They are built on one tested layout and have not been checked in every mail client.
Reporting a barrier
Write to hello@billboardbadger.com with what happened and what was being used. Where something cannot be fixed quickly, the reporter is told so.
Enforcement
Billboard Badger is a private sector service. The Equality Act 2010 applies, and anyone unhappy with a response may contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service.
